Korean Fire Ramen Noodles Challenge!! Over the years and months, I’ve seen many comments requesting to participate in the spicy fire ramen noodles challenge. And finally, along with Trevor and Sonny, we decided to make ourselves the extra spicy fire noodles, and eat them together while hanging out on a group call. Mostly it was a lot of fun, and can’t wait to share it with you. #Ramen #SpicyRamenChallenge #StreetFood #withme
Khao Gaeng Ruttana (ข้าวแกงรัตนา) – Before the challenge and making the ramen, we ordered some Thai street food for lunch. This Thai rice and curry stall is located within Nang Loeng Market, and they serve fantastic Central Thai food. Their beef green curry is always delicious, full of spice, cumin and coriander seed.
Korea Fire Ramen – For the ramen, we decided we could have creative freedom to cook them the way we wanted to, but I also wanted to preserve and not cover up the original taste and spiciness of the noodles. So I made my in a little bit of a Thai tom yum style – with lemongrass, galangal, and kaffir lime leaves. Then I added a couple of extra fried freshwater shrimp on the side. Trevor made his with a little bit of a Malaysian touch, including some ikan bilis, and Sonny topped his with whipped cream and a banana.
We all jumped on a group call and started eating! Stay tuned and watch until the end to see if we can complete the Korean 2 X, but in our case 4 X fire noodle challenge.
